FOR SALE: Edison-related books - various prices, see listing

Post by TinfoilPhono »

- Menlo Park Reminiscences by Francis Jehl: three paperback volumes, approx. 4.5 by 7.25, published by the Edison Institute (Ford Museum). Volume 1 published 1937, Volume 2 1938, Volume 3 1941. Overall excellent. Volume 1 has been opened and the spine is cracked here and there, Volumes 2 & 3 are tight and appear unread. -- all three for $50 postpaid (US).

- Edison's Open Door by Alfred O. Tate (Edison's private secretary): 6"x 8.75", hardbound, original dust jacket in perfect condition. plastic protective covering. Published 1938, excellent condition. $35 postpaid (US).

- Guide Book for the Edison Institute Museum and Greenfield Village - This is a collection of 10 visitors' guides for the Edison Institute (now the Ford Museum) and Greenfield Village, adjacent to The Ford. They range in date from 1929, the year the museum was completed but before it was actually open, through the 1930s and 1940, up to 1957. They represent a wonderful history of the Ford Museum itself. If you are familiar with the museum and the Village you will find it fascinating to see how they have evolved over the years. Comparing the maps of Greenfield Village to the village today is especially interesting. A lot has changed! The 1929 guide is hardbound, the rest are paperback. Most are excellent, Only two show significant wear, and only one(undated) has major creasing and folded pages (but no tears). Collection of 10 for $50 postpaid (US).
