I am in need of a single spring Columbia disc graphophone motor like the one in the pictures below.
The motor in the pictures below is from a junker Standard Model A Talking Machine made by Columbia but is exactly like the motor I need for my Columbia. The motor below has problems and is missing a number of parts and I included it for reference purposes.
I need one of these motors that is complete with the parts that are missing on this one including the stop/speed control shaft (that would protrude from the front of the cabinet), the governor, turntable spindle shaft.
I would prefer a Columbia motor just like this one that has the Columbia spindle shaft instead of a Standard Talking Machine spindle shaft.
I would be incredibly grateful to hear from anyone who can help me complete my Columbia Graphophone that is missing the motor like this one. I will be happy to pay you a fair and honest price for your motor.
Please send me a PM.
Thanks,
Doug

Re: WANTED: Columbia Single Spring Motor/Standard Model A Mo
Still looking for this common Columbia 1-spring motor. Please help if you have a working motor or one that needs work or parts.
This motor is found in all Standard Talking Machine models except for the model H (which has a 2-spring motor).
This motor is also found in the lower priced B-series Columbia disc graphophones including the model BA, BH and BZ.
It is also found in the lower priced Oxford disc phonographs.
Columbia made this motor for many years. I'm trying to complete a Columbia BA disc graphophone that is missing its motor.
Please send me a PM if you can help. Thanks.
