FOR SALE: Edison Doll with Mechanism - INQUIRE

Post by Hailey »

We continue to go through the collection of items that belonged to our parents. As we do so, we decide what to offer from time to time. After a lengthy discussion with family members, we have decided to offer the Edison Talking Doll which has the replica mechanism. The doll remains stored away in the old house, as we decided to not bring it down until we were able to gauge the level of interest in it. This is why I have not included photos with this posting. And, I cannot recall if she has the #224 (Bahr and Proschild)head, or the #719(Simon Halbig)head. I can assure you that she is complete, correct, and has all the intended, original parts. These dolls are commonly offered w/ incorrect heads, sleep eyes(correct dolls had fixed eyes), jointed wrists (correct dolls had fixed wrists), and incorrect legs. The mechanism that is with our doll is one of a very few exact replicas that were produced several years ago, and is the better of a couple mechs that were made, being exactly replicated from an original. Our doll also has her wig and is dressed in period clothing.

If you have an interest in her, please message me and we can progress from there. We do not have to sell her, however, if we can find her a good home and share her with a collector who will enjoy adding her to their collection, we have decided it would be the time to do so.

Thanks for tuning in.
