I am offering the very unusual tone arm from a Bush & Lane Duo-Vox phonograph. It is the only dual reproducer tone arm I am aware of and is pretty cool. With this tone arm you can make just about any spring motor phonograph a Duo-Vox.
The outside diameter of the base is 3 ⅛", the inside hole is 2 ¼".
The 3 screw down holes are 2 ⅜" apart.
The distance from the center of the base to the needle on the lateral reproducer is 8 ½" and to the Edison reproducer is 9 ¼".
It is interesting that the connector for the Edison reproducer will fit a standard Victrola tone arm, except it is 90 degrees off. If you were to drill 6 new screw holes in the reproducer body, you could rotate it 90 degrees and mount it on your Victrola. Imagine an Edison adaptor for your Victrola!
You can see a Duo-Vox tone arm in action on YouTube here:

This one works very well, certainly the equal of the one in my video.
Asking $150 plus $15.00 for insured priority mail shipping. Offered to Forum folks first. If no takers, it goes to Ebay.
Thanks! Cliff

Re: FOR SALE: Bush & Lane Duo-Vox Tone Arm and Reproducers $
I have a friend here in Maryland that has one of these low boy machines for sale in his shop. It sounds very good to me. The diaphragm looks as if it may be a Edison or very like an Edison diaphragm.

These reproducers are both very Edison like with the cork and resin diaphragms. The spring loaded connectors to the needle bars seem to work great! The sound is excellent. Pretty good engineering, certainly different from the rest.A Ford 1 wrote:I have a friend here in Maryland that has one of these low boy machines for sale in his shop. It sounds very good to me. Does the vertical reproducer also play Pathé records, or just Edisons?

I have not tried to play early Pathé records with this reproducer, however, the diamond stylus on this reproducer is not anything like the Pathé ball stylus, so I would think not. It should play other vertical cut records, though.yankmycrank wrote:Does the vertical reproducer also play Pathé records, or just Edisons?

No Pathé verticals on this, please. Design is intended for lats and diamond discs only. Apparently they didn't see a need to make the lateral side reproducer pivot to allow use of a ball stylus and allow Pathé verts to also be played.

By the time this was built vertical cut sapphire ball records were obsolete- Edison was the only vertical cut record on the US market.PeterF wrote:No Pathé verticals on this, please. Hi CDPBX,
What is the out side diameter of the cylindrical tube that fits in the cabinet opening and the distance from the stylus to the center of that tube? I was wondering if it might fit my Borgia II for playing Edison records through the Orthophonic horn.
