I have encountered more than one Diamond Disc motor that is extremely quiet when there is no turntable on the machine, but noisy once the turntable is in use. The noise is cyclical, probably related to a gear.
Is there a know cause and remedy for this? Why would using a turntable turn a quiet motor into a noisy one?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Cause of Diamond Disc motor noise?
I have also found this with Heineman Motors. I have come to the conclusion that it is either a worn motor bearing in the casting or bad drive gear.52089 wrote:I have encountered more than one Diamond Disc motor that is extremely quiet when there is no turntable on the machine, but noisy once the turntable is in use. I think its the bearing, as the turntable will cause it to have more weight and sway.
