Somewhere in the labyrinth of back streets in Lisbon, we came across this cafe. The one on the left is definitely a crapophone, not sure about the other (no time to stop and check it out). Anyway, it gave us a chuckle. Might be able to go back today and see if there are more inside.

Always wanted to visit Portugal. Be sure to visit a Fado house for some great music.
Here is a link to my favorite Fado singer, Ana Moura. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh9YHtZzHfk

Going tonight for dinner and Fado at a major nightspot. The is my second visit to Lisboa, the first being in 1966 when I was a Merchant Marine cadet on a training ship. At 17, Fado was the last thing on my mind.

I recommend bacalhau ao Braz, a great dish. With Alentejo wine evidently, a good bacalhau dish asks for red wine. There are great singers in Lisbon, most unknown to the wider public. Clude de Fado is a good restaurant and has great singers, a bit touristic but if you don't speak portuguese it will be convenient.Raphael wrote:Going tonight for dinner and Fado at a major nightspot.
