Rivoli Machine Model 22 Serial number 211

Post by EarlH »

My brother saw this in an antique store earlier today and sent me some pictures of it. I know there was a member here that restored one of these machines that had a near-death experience and thought you might like to see another one. Looks like the serial numbers are only a few apart and there may have been some quality control issues in that factory, at least from the looks of the crooked ID tag. They look to be an interesting machine, but I've never seen one in person.

That dealer's tag for "Robert Loud, Pianos" reminded me of a trip to Buffalo a few years ago, to pick-up a VV-XIV, when I passed a sign marking the voice studio of "I. Bello" .

I nearly swerved into oncoming traffic, I was laughing so hard ! ;)

The horn on the Rivoli is very attractive.

The ID tag looks straight to me. It's the dealer tag which is crooked. Worth buying just for that horn!

My brother lives out in Syracuse, New York so it must be out there somewhere. He said it was $100.00 but I don't have room for anything like that right now, even if I was interested in it. I'm in Iowa and it's too much driving for me. Ha!
