Thank you all for the kind words. I should have used my spell check (or my brain) when I wrote the title... . I have now corrected 'experience'...

James, that beer sure was good since we went up to 87.8 yesterday....thanks!!!.

That's a tremendous story, with human interest. I'm a fan of "unlikely happenings" and the way that Victor III was reunited with its original parts is a real cliff-hanger. To say nothing of how close the sister came to losing her brother's papers! :)

Wayne

Thanks for sharing the great story.
Did the sister provide a narrative of the owner and is it suitable to post here?

Out of respect for the family's privacy, I won't indulge too much about the man. Besides being a decorated Vietnam vet, he was also involved with the cerebral palsy center for children near him.

Clearly, he was a very caring and giving person.

This was his one and only Phonograph. He may have been working on it having all the parts and pieces in his desk.

It's a funny place to keep important documents. Do any of you do this..??.

I remember years ago, using and old oak wall phone to hide stuff... .

Good people do good things and don't look for anything in return---but when good is returned---you know it was meant to be. Ditto on all the other members replies---nice story/nice machine
