My completed VV-XVII

Post by toysbyroy »

Shenandoah Restorations in Lawton, OK just completed the refinishing of the 1918 VV-XVII cabinet; thought you'd like to see the transformation.

It is complete except for the lower door gold knob (I need one like the left one). Anyone have one?

Beautiful machine. Well worth restoring.

I love the XVII. It is the only newer Victrola I own. I would place an ad in our Yankee Trader section for the knob. However, I do see them come up on Ebay ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Victrol ... SwaB5XlTfx ). Most seem to be just a plain knob on a XVII. However, I have seen many with this "grooved" type knob.
Do you have the record binders in yours..??.

No, I don't have the binders; have an extra set? :) I also own an L-Door VV-XVI, but I think this VV-XVII has now become my favorite Victrola.
Thanks for posting pictures of yours!
