Any website that show how to rebuild an Edison DD reproducer

Hey, I can only find one instructional youtube video that shows how to rebuild this reproducer. Supposedly it's a 2 hour rebuild compressed into a 5 minute video. Didn't help much. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bill Boss

There's no logical reason why a rebuild of a diamond disc reproducer should take that long. Usually, for me, it's a matter of maybe 15 minutes. The only part that really takes a bit of time is getting the pin out from the stylus pivot. Even that is hit-and-miss whether or not it's going to take a long time. Sometimes they come right out. There's nothing difficult about the rebuild, it's not like an orthophonic reproducer.

If you are just going to change the diaphragm, linkage or gaskets you don't have to remove the pin in the needle bar you will only have to remove the pin if your changing stylus. Lift the front of needle bar with finger and take a small hook tool and pull loop on linkage up over bar. you might try to spread the needle bar open a little , i use razor blade knife. Take the 2 little screws out of the tail-weight . Usually the round threaded ring that threads into the body can be taken loose with a small flat screw driver. Put you new parts in making sure your loop is facing the right direction and reverse procedure . You can tap the threaded ring a bit with a flat screwdriver being careful not to poke into diaphragm.After you can blow into throat to make sure your job is air tight .
