Can anyone give me a link to an article in the photographers society pubs that goes to there RCA article on identifying RCA portables. I would need to buy a section of there back issues to get it otherwise I understand there was a good one in there Thanks Tom B

Hi Tom:
I'd like to see that article too!
There was a reference made to the article on this forum -- http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=26456 -- stating that it appeared in an old issue of "The Antique Phonograph." The site's main page is: http://www.antiquephono.org/ Unfortunately, the article does not appear online.
I spotted a reference to the site's earlier articles and according to the information in this index, it was first published in March of 2004 -- http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... clnk&gl=us -- and again in 2010, if I'm reading it correctly. (A downloadable xls file appears at the top of the page.)
I also scoured the Internet Archive -- https://web.archive.org/web/20120901000 ... phono.org/ -- but it does not appear there either.
You might want to get in touch with the folks at the Antique Phonograph directly via the "contact us" jump, and see if they would be willing to send/sell you a PDF copy of just that article. Perhaps they'd even post it online.

Re: rca portable link
I E mailed them to see if it is available .. It looks like if I read the index right it appeared twice March 04 and March 06. The index was difficult for me to decipher.. If I get the articles I will share them with the forum if that is OK. Is there a special place to list them here??? I like there quarterly magazine.. Tom B

All of the material in the Sound Box is copyrighted, so it would not be OK without permission. If I get the articles I will share them with the forum if that is OK.
