Actuelle for $125.00
This is one hour from me, I haven't seen it but from the pictures it appears complete...except the legs are missing: http://albany.craigslist.org/atq/5737405703.html

Point out that the legs are missing, get them to drop the price, and take it home. Very unusual to find with the cone still in good shape!

I might possibly get this- I have no room but it could live on the front porch a while.

Well.....it appeared as if I might be getting this, but there is a holdup- the machine is actually property of a small historical society & the board wants to vote before selling it.

If I don't get it I won't lose sleep. Technically interesting, but the cabinet is a boxy space eater- it would probably end up supporting my TV

LOL you got that right, like the Credenza in a local antique shop here - thing would take up half a room, not to mention the cost of a forklift to move it around. I just like Pathé machines, the antique shop I visit has a stack of old cabinet legs of all types. Cheersestott wrote:If I don't get it I won't lose sleep. Re: Actuelle for $125.00
A Craig's list seller in Pelham, New York listed a Pathé Model H (the same model as this one), and gave its dimensions as 23.5" D x 19" W x 46" H. If these dimensions are accurate, the Model H surely takes up less space that a Credenza (although that does not mean estott has space for even this legless one). And the Model H weighs MUCH less than a Credenza. After all, the Credenza has one of the largest horns Victor ever offered, while the Model H has no horn at all.
Best wishes, Mark

They are small, and very light, and sound fantastic except perhaps with a bit less bass. If you can find space, do not hesitate to get an actuellle.
