Re: Show us you phono-related Christmas gifts!
I didn't get anything phono related
But I did get some cool tools for my woodshop and one of those cheap, but totally awsome indoor helicopters!
It is good to have some variety, though we have spent about 30 of the 72 hours playing Wii.
Happy new year Paal!

Nothing phono related for me this year either
I did buy myself a couple xmas presents on ebay, but we've had postman strikes over here, so nothing arrived on time. I'm mostly looking forward to 39 cylinders to arrive. The titles weren't listed, so it'll be a bit of a lucky dip, but as long as there's not too many duplicates of titles I already have I'll be happy.

Re: Show us you phono-related Christmas gifts!
I didn't ask for either of the phonograph related things I got for Christmas this year. So I was pleasantly surprised when my wife gave them to me. I mentioned one time awhile back that I wouldn't mind having a clean Edison A-100 and that I needed a cylinder cabinet as I don't have one yet. I didn't think that she would be able to find them, let alone be willing to buy them for me. Anyway, here is the A-100. The cylinder cabinet is still at my Father-in-law's house. I will post some pictures of it when I get it home in a couple days.

I think she did a great job.

I received a Columbia record box, which was obviously used for seasonal 10" records. It's about ¾" high.

The box is lovely. I dug in the Lenoir Street archives and found this Columbia blurb:not about the box per se , but about a festive envelope. This is from the Dec 1920 supplement. And it is black and white in the original.

When I told Santa Claus about my exemplary behavior during the year, he made a stop on Ebay and got this record for me earlier in the month:

And he will be sending his elves over in a few days to bring me a few cylinders, including "Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Shean" on a Blue Amberol.

Re: Show us you phono-related Christmas gifts!
Okay, here is what I got for Christmas. I celebrated Christmas with my parents, yesterday. Since we were in Ohio, for Christmas, with my Aunt and Uncle.
The mouse pad, truck and tin, are obviously not old.
Execpt for the record guide, and the print above it. Everything else came from the MME show, last April. My parents bought me these, with out my knowledge. The guide and the print I picked out.
