Thanks for all the good advice. How do I contact the cylinder Dr? I am planning on going to the Wayne show this year. Does he attend that? I would like to have it repaired before trying to play it. It would be great to get it repaired at the show and find a machine to play it.

Just a thought: there are electric pickups available for cylinder machines.

They're more likely sized for Edison carriages; but if you add an adapter ring, and an extension to engage the lift lever, you could install that on the BF... :geek:
