Brunswick Panatrope Portable on Location, Myra Hess Piano.

Post by larryh »

Been getting a bit worn out recording the Edison and something struck me that perhaps taking a portable outside and playing some relaxing classics might strike some people as interesting.. I know as young man I used to haul my Orthophonic Portable out to picnics and yard parties, even to work in the lunch room one day. Probably no one but me wanted to hear it but none the less it gave and idea of how they were used back in the day.. It also is a break from the usual close ups of interior shots of machines.

This selection is of my moms house next door where we have a small gold fish pond. I thought the piano piece was rather soothing with the water running though the filter system. I couldn't get the goldfish to come up and eat however. Tonight they were all waiting for dinner at the usual time..

Glad you enjoyed it.. I am contemplating some nice fall views of the field and some of the hard maples when they turn their bright colors.
