Stewart phonograph

Post by briankeith »

Curious - how many colors did the little round metal Stewart phonograph come in? I have a faux wood version and one that is all black. I have also seen green.

Just off the top of my head, I think you got it... black, green, wood.

I have four in black, all different motors and many of the other parts are not interchangeable. I had a heck of a time finding parts to complete three them. So far I've not figured out how to rebuild the common reproducer that you find on the later tone arm. Its a pressed together affair. However, one of mine has a very early thin tone arm and a rebuild-able type reproducer. That one I did rebuild.

I thought I had seen some on eBay in maroon/dark red? Could be wrong though.
