Another Patterson NJ Phonograph Dealer Tag

There was some recent discussion about machines marked by James O'Dea, a dealer in Edison and Victor machines a century ago. See this thread:

Well, I just returned home from the Wayne show with a 4-clip Edison Standard which was also originally sold in Patterson; but this one by James Rigby - who also dealt in bicycles. I must admit that when I first examined this little paper label at the show this morning, I thought it might be the same guy as in the thread referenced above. In any event, it's nice that the label somehow survived on this Standard.

Very nice paper tag.
I once saw this dealer's tag on an aftermarket horn that was auctioned on eBay.
This shop was not too far away from the Other Paterson dealer's shop (James O'Dea) on Ellison St.
Both were located in the Great Falls business district.
I wonder if one or both of these dealers have record dusters with their shops advertised on them?
If so, I would die to find one.

I looked at that Standard on Saturday and was really tempted to go for it. Nice clean unit with a Blackman reproducer, dealer decal and the crane supports, I thought it was a bargain. But I've gone way over my "toy" budget this year and still have Stanton's auction on the horizon.

Glad it went to a good home.

I'm sorry I missed you both this time. It's funny how people can orbit around and somehow never see each other. (Of course, I'm highly distracted by stuff on tables!)

Gene, I'll look for a Rigby record duster for you if you'll find a Rigby cylinder record box for me!

Chuck, it's funny, but I was looking at this same Standard at the spring show. I came close then, but ultimately decided that three suitcase Standards would be a bit much. However, after roaming around for another hour, I returned to the table and it was gone. I assumed that it had sold, and I gently kicked myself for not buying it (I especially wanted the Blackman reproducer). When I saw it again today (six months later), I couldn't believe my eyes. The seller assured me that he hadn't sold it last spring (despite my insisting that it had disappeared at the time), and the price was even lower this time, so I really couldn't leave it.

You got a deal on the Rigby cylinder box.
I wonder if I walked past a dumpster full of cylinder boxes and record dusters from Rigby and O'Dea sometime in the 1960's or '70's, when those establishments were sold for office space.
I am already searching.
I have great confidence in your ability to find a Paterson, NJ record duster.
Many consider me a phonograph magnet when it comes to finding things, but you are even more so.
