ELGAR'S HMV 101

Post by Expert »

Can anyone please supply the image of Elgar posing on some steps carrying his HMV portable gramophone. I have seen this picture many times, but for the life of me can't find it anywhere now. It seemed to be originally published around 1931, just before the change-over to the 102. I need it rather urgently for something.

Thanks, marcapra, but that is the modified image for the CD set that a correspondent sent me, asking what the original was like! Elgar was originally carrying a 101 portable: I've seen the image many times but can't find it anywhere now. But many thanks again for responding.

I would go to the library and look for an illustrated biography of Elgar. Not everything is on the Internet. Marc.
