WANTED: Bottom and Lid for Early Edison Concert

Post by Garret »

All,

This is probably a long shot, but I'm seeking the bottom of a case and also a lid for an Edison Concert phonograph (the early model..see below). Feel free to send me a private message or email me if you have something: [email protected].

Best,

Garret

I saw this on Craigslist as well shortly after it was listed and contacted the seller to schedule a time to pick it up. I asked if the motor was inside the cabinet since it was not shown in the pictures and he told me that it was which was a REAL plus. I told him that I had a long drive to pick it up and hoped I could get there in time. He was gracious enough to send me a text message just as I was leaving that he was sorry but he sold it to someone else who got there before me. :( You got a great deal especially with the extra reproducer parts. Wish I lived closer but that's the way it goes sometimes. I can't have them all. I wish you all the best in restoring it. It has tremendous potential for sure in spite of the rough appearance.

Sorry. Since I lived in New Haven for a couple of years, I had a friend who was able to pick this up.

Right now, the plan is to see how the feed screw and remaining top works look when my friend delivers it around Christmas and take it from there.
