Looking for a source of HMV parts

Post by Bruce »

Hello

I am restoring an HMV Model V Gramophone and need the speed control.

I have advertised in the "Yankee Trader" section without success. Does anyone know of a European source for these parts?

I have included a photo of the speed dial I do have on top of a photo from Oakley and Proudfoot's book His Master's Gramophone.

Thanks

Bruce

Do you ever check ebay UK for spares? These show up from time to time.

You could also contact John Sleep: http://www.windupgram.co.uk/

Ken Priestly ([email protected]) might also have the part you need, or Howard Hope (google him). Howard is often best reached via phone.

If you fall short with these guys, let me know and I'll give you a few more suggestions.

Best,

Garret
