With a little help, advice, and guidance from two good forum friends, I finally scored my first external horn machine. Thanks to miker2001 and Jerry B for helping me make the move to get my first Vic II. After 4 hours or so of cleaning, it turned out very nice. The motor runs smooth, albeit a little noisy. I'm not sure if it's ever been rebuilt or not, but runs smooth nonetheless. The reproducer will be rebuilt in a few days.
The cabinet was very dirty and I was afraid that it might not have any of the original finish left, but it amazed me and came out really nice. I'm leaving it as it is.
Many, many thanks to Mike and Jerry for their advice and mentorship. This forum never ceases to amaze me.. The support and advice by the member is refreshing and much appreciated.

Very nice Vic II, congratulations! The one I have is in much worse shape, but it still plays well. Now what will your second horn machine be?
