Finally finished standard C
I brought a standard C plate on E bay to redo and add to my C collection.. I had 7 standard Bs so I used one as a donor machine for the case and motor. Standard Cs I believe came in B and D cases I was told. I had to purchase all the upper works. The only problem I ran into was the feed screw for a standard C is only for that unit as a B or D feed screw was incorrect. Had to locate one and the person who sold me the plate sold me the feed screw. When I started to clean it up I found someone had made a center bearing out of a plastic tube. I did not try it so I do not know if it will work. It came out easier that a pot metal one. It even had a oil hole drilled into it. I finally finished today and after a lot of adjustments it is a sweet machine. The governor was bent too and had to be played with. I kept the original stripes as they were in good condition. I am working on a standard 4 clip and a home suitcase. and may post on them too. It keeps me busy in my spare time. This is a more expensive hobby than golfing.. Tom B
