Does anyone have a catalog excerpt or a commercial ad showing this model? Thanks for your help.

Steve is absolutely correct in what he says. There is NO uniformity in prices that a machine may sell for. As mentioned , it all depends who is looking on the day , how much money they have in their pocket , how much they want it , condition , and so on.
Having said that , some machines do tend to fetch similar prices whenever they are sold. Whenever I get asked " What is the value of my so - and so phonograph " , I answer IT HAS NO VALUE ! The owner then says , " What do you mean ? " to which I answer , well , nothing has any monetary value until it is actually SOLD -- and that figure can vary considerably depending upon numerous factors some of which I have outlined above. The best example I can give is of two Edison Standards that were sold in the UK last year , both by auction in the same week. One was not particularly clean , the case had seen better days , but the machine was complete in unrestored condition. It was listed on UK ebay as "item for collection only" in a fairly distant and remote location , perhaps a little too remote for most folks to be bothered with. The other Standard was in an ordinary antiques and collectors auction in the Midlands area of the UK. It looked clean enough , although I did not view it -- but asked a friend who was local to have a quick look as there were two cardboard boxes of cylinders included. The cylinders were the usual fare in average condition, so were not going to make a huge difference to the selling price, especially as it seems when phonographs turn up with job lots of cylinders at auction -- I left a bid but did not get a look in -- at least two other bidders thought it worth far more than I did ! Who would have thought it would sell for GBP 680 plus buyers premium ? !! Oh , by the way , the Standard on ebay ? GBP 26. Really !!
The moral of the tale ..... I'll leave that to you to work out ! Regards Dulcetto
