a mystory for you cylinder fans, this one is totally unknown, though I think I hear the announcer say "century record" is this a new century cylinder? I've heard of a company by that name but have never heard any of their cylinders. Does anyone have one?

Not familiar with the cylinder company, but the performer sounds like Frank C Stanley. Had an early Victor recording of him hat sounded very similar

The New Century Phonograph Company was a British concern, the brand name of Waterfield Clifford & Co. Ltd which imported Puck phonographs from Germany. They also traded as The Empire Phonograph Company and are said to have had a stock of 10,000 cylinder recordings.
They seem to have commenced trading in 1900, but following threats of legal action they had to temporarily suspend their activities until the Edison Bell patents expired in December 1901.
