Who recorded Buffalo Bill?

Today I took a close look on the handwritten label of the Buffalo Bill Berliner, recently auctioned. It struck me right away that I had seen it before, and discovered the same handwriting on another Berliner, recorded August 8, 1898 by Fred Gaisberg in London. Gaisberg departed from New York on July 23rd and could very well be responsible for the Buffalo Bill recording on April 20.

You will notice that the Berliner logo below is very unusual. It was exclusively used on a handful discs recorded that day.
