Well just got my APS magazine and it looks like it might be a great one if I had all the parts that went to it. The friendly postman brought it to my front door and said it must have gotten caught in the shorting machine. Still had part of the back page in what was left of the plastic cover so that's how they knew where to send it. First time that this has happened-so how do I get a replacement copy.
Hope everyone had a great turkey day-I'm still getting over mine!

Re: APS magazine
Hi Abe,
My copy of The Antique Phonograph arrived today as well, but fortunately it didn't go through the same sorting machine as yours!
Please go to the "Contact Us" page of the APS web site (http://www.antiquephono.org/contact-us) and send the APS a note saying that your copy arrived damaged. Please include your name and address so the proper folks will know where to send your replacement.
Sorry this happened to you...

Glad to hear your journal arrived safely, and that you're enjoying it. (We rarely hear good news!
)
Now if we can just get the web site de-bugged...quickly! Lots of talented people are working on that.
Best to all,
George P.

Re: APS magazine
Also got my new magazine Yesterday and immediately followed the excellent instructions to renew my membership and sign up for a username. The latter part still has a few kinks, but I am really looking forward to peruse all that new material on the site. Thanks to everyone involved for all your hard work on both the magazine and the website.

Re: APS magazine
Hey GEORGE, MORE GOOD NEWS!
Our copy arrived yesterday, sealed in plastic and wonderful.
I assume George's favorite machine, (because the icon is next to his name), is on the cover.
Columbia with Bettini reproducer and RED HORN for Christmas.
Beautiful cover and great issue.
Rene, thanks for your article on coin- op Zonophones, very interesting.
Thanks to everyone for a great magazine.
All the best, David & Lerria Rosamond

Re: APS magazine
It's great to hear about all these copies arriving safely!
As for the Type A Graphophone being my "favorite machine," probably not. I chose it for an on-line icon because it's simple and colorful (a lot like me). But the red Bettini horn seemed to look Christmas-like, so I shot it for a cover in response to our esteemed Editor's request.
The good news is indeed refreshing. Some Board members are tearing out their hair (I'm all out) over the web site expansion. It should be any day now...
Finally, I should apologize for the personal nature of this issue's article. It really was a departure for me, but I promise to return with phact-philled phonographic phun in March!

Re: APS magazine
Hi George,
Sorry about the late reply-thanks for telling me what to do to replace my torn up issue, and by the way after years of getting it this was the first time.
Have to tell you, that I enjoyed your article on spiritual music-yes the middle of the magazine was in pretty good shape. I don't listen to them much being Jewish, but I kept them for two reasons. Many of them are in wonderful condition and my wife is Christian and she likes them. I had put them in a separate area so that when she wants to listen to them I know exactly where they are-and there are 134 of them. I got to looking and was surprised that I had that many! Funny how that works. In any case you are very right there are many that are a bit more toe taping than others. Thanks for having gotten me to pay a bit more attention to them.

That's great Abe - - exactly what I was hoping might happen for a few collectors. It really was a nice (and surprising) experience.
Happy Hanukkah!
