Wanted: Edison Shubert
I am posting this for a friend who isn't to computer savvy
and hasn't signed up for the forum, though I've been hounding him to do so.
. He is looking to purchase an Edison Shubert.
He is in North Jersey, but would be willing to wait for the Wayne show in the spring if necessary. Feel free to pm me with pertinent info and pictures and I will pass it on to him. Thanks Gary

There is a Schubert in South Jersey on Craigslist for $300. It's been on there for about six months.

Yes, he is trying to get in touch with them. He is leery because of the legs on it though.

"Offered for auction today is this wonderful old Edison Edisonic Schubert model console phonograph. The cabinet is in good sturdy condition. It does have some chips of veneer off of the top and some other areas of veneer that is lifting or loose. The phonograph works and sounds great. The cabinet is approximately 24 inches wide, stands 43 inches tall and 21 inches deep."

I have one of these in the Washington DC area in pretty good shape that I could sell. But I won't be able to deliver. No hurry to get rid of it, but no room to display it properly. Let me know if you want pictures etc. and I can drag it out for a photo shoot. Again I won't be delivering it, but if someone wants to come to Maryland (one block north of the DC border) I'll help load it in your car.

Here are some photos. Missing one knob, and the lift arm screws are stripped. if you lift the lid too high they fall out. Some scratching of the finish etc. but otherwise OK.
