Cleaning Edison Standard Bedplate

Post by DrGregC »

I know that this has probably been asked dozens of times here, but how do the experts carefully clean the oil and grease from the bedplate on an Edison Standard without damaging the stenciling? Thanks.

Rich - Wow! You made that humble little machine look spectacular. Any pre-cleaning before you applied the car wax? What did you use to cut through the oil and grease? Thanks.

Gojo or Goop works pretty well, too: just use piece of felt to wipe it off, rather than steel wool.
