Victrola VIII Clean-up Part 2 "The Finished Product"

Post by Jerry B. »

Here are photos of my finished Victrola VIII. I have about four hours invested and it is ready for many generations of Victrola enjoyment. The only financial outlay was a bit of GoJo hand cleaner, a couple of pads of 0000 steel wool, some Feed-N-Wax, two Exhibition diaphragm gaskets and a new $5 flange for the Exhibition. Jerry Blais

Looks great! I like these little VIIIs, personally. A few years back, a picker friend of mine brought one over to my house he grabbed for $25 and sold it to me for the same. It was dirty, but cleaned up as nicely as yours did. Mine sits on my enclosed porch and I play it often on when I'm out enjoying a cool one on a warm Summer night!

I had too many photos so tried to have a part 1 & 2. I wanted them in order so part 2 came first. Oh well, I tried. Jerry

Turned out very nice. I have one of these too that plays nicely for a small machine, but dang is it heavy at 40 lbs!
