Rapke vertical horn-cranes ?

Post by De Soto Frank »

I've been reading my reprint of the complete Talking Machine World for 1906, and noticed a couple of ads from Rapke, for a crane that suspends the morning glory horn vertically from the machine.

Does anyone have such an outfit on their cylinder players ?

How does this rig sound ?

I have the parts together to reproduce one (including an original base), but haven't done so yet...

Thanks, George !

I missed that earlier thread... looks like an interesting premise.

The ad I saw, the upper rod had a semi-circular bend in it, very much like a Signet support, to clear the rim of the horn-bell.
