Jerry B:

Very nice machine that you have. I have a similar style VV-VIII with the same speed control.
I am wondering if your machine's motor runs quiet? Mine seems to be noisy.

The motor in mine is quiet thanks to a thorough servicing by our very own Cliff B. (CDBPDX)

Thanks Cliff! Jerry B.

Very nice machine, Jerry. It's amazing what a little elbow grease can do.

I bought my VV-VIII for about $150.00 back in May. The VV-VIII runs good with the exception of motor noise. I may check to see if the governor needs replaced or maybe the spindle drive gear? Other than that, they clean up really nice and easy. I probably have no more than $165.00 into it considering, the reproducer back flange and gaskets. They sure are a bargain.

Some say the arm is too short and causes record wear, but I think its probably no more than a VV-IX.
