In case you might think I am racist I am certainly not. I will teach her A very broad view of American History, from all perspectives. She is now going to be 8 in March, and has A's and B's in school.
Cute kid.

Right or wrong, history is history. Why doesn't the "Political Correctness" movement go after the current RAP musicians. What they produce is far more repulsive.

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS... and it just keeps it out there - racial slurs, violence, abuse of women, etc. The PC crowd are hypocrites...

I have many cylinders with titles which are "Dodgy" these days.
I agree that they must be viewed in the context that they are from another era.
One of my favourite books of all time is Huckleberry Finn. I believe it has been withdrawn from many American libraries and schools as obscenely racist. It is a brilliant book of it's time, and one which draws a child into the fantasy.
It's only a matter of time before we follow suit on this side of the pond.

That's a great idea. I'm getting hungry now. Think I'm going to play my dodgy records, eat Planters Cashew nuts, and Wheat Thins crackers with cheese :D :) ;) . Thanks for the suggestion. Merry Christmas to all.

Hmmm... Well there, me and my dog Cesar were discussing and I sorta agree with him. He said, "Oh puh-leeze!, one needs to be sensitive to those who might feel offended." Makes sense to me.

Sneakily pulling a pork chop off the table he went on to say  , "I mean we might consider it inoffensive to pee on someone's leg but then if they feel differently, better we don't do it."

I've become interested in something I wouldn't have given much thought:

Does someone have a transcription of the words? I can't find one on the still free-speech internet.

You don't need to post it here and become fodder for insulters, you can email, or PM me if you prefer.

Thank you,
Fran

It seems to me that we need to pass out a Snickers to several people.
Or, a box of Kleenex.
