Go to the index page, look at the Machines header, then the counter for that specific subforum over to the right. Indeed, currently standing at 10,000.

I'm not sure that is correct, however. The official count on the backend is much smaller, I resynchronized the topic count and it didn't change. I'm guessing there's a problem with the counter you are looking at, this one is correct for sure. Sorry to burst your bubble!
