Crystola Model A - Thoughts?

Post by Ekegelmann »

I cant find any infromation worthwhile on this item. Someone is selling one near me and I dont want to get ripped off and wonder if anyone can tell me more or a value on it. I find it extremely interesting due to the glass horn. Its simply badged as Cystola Model A. Thank you!

I saw one of these in a shop in central Wisconsin a number of years ago. They had $600 on it. I thought it was pretty high at the time. The shop has since closed.

What are they asking for this machine...?

"No one needs a Victrola XX, a Perfected Graphophone Type G, or whatever you call those noisy things."

I like quirky machines especially one with a showy gimmick. They add interest to any collection. I'd estimate value anywhere from $300 to $550 in good shape. Jerry Blais

My estimate was way too high considering the missing grill.

I don't think $200 is that bad. See if they would take an offer. It is pretty unique.

If it is complete and functioning I think $200 is a very fair price. I only would be concerned if something is missing or broken, because correct spares could be difficult to get. A broken spring would probably be easy to get, but other parts may be more difficult. It definitely is an interesting and unusual machine.

Grab it - I have mostly off-brands in my collection, this one is really cool for $200 if it's complete ??
