Metal Horn NEEDS REPAIRED

Post by Curt A »

VINTAGE Thomas A. Edison Black 30" Phonograph Metal Horn NEEDS REPAIRED...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Thomas- ... 2516.l5255

Shipping label still attached... apparently this was shipped unboxed, which is why it is so important to ask sellers how they intend to pack and ship anything bought online.

Years ago I bought a muffler/tailpipe assembly from an antique car parts supplier. The various pieces arrived in perfect condition, via USPS, with only stamps attached to them.

About 10 years ago I bought a similar Edison horn that had stamps still on it from a previous shipment.

I guess that's why collectors wax nostalgic over the Good Old Days. But despite the recent political brouhaha, we aren't going to go back in time.

The "Good Old Days"... when people (including postal workers) used common sense, which is lacking today in a large portion of the population. Now, people don't give a $#*t and have a narcissistic entitled attitude about how they do their jobs and live their lives...

yeah... the good ol' days when people did their job, knew their place, there was no internet and 17% home loans. (People would absolutely crap themselves if we went back to the good ol' days)

I wouldn't mind going back to the 60s, 70s, or 80s to buy some phonographs and records, though.

My first look at that horn I thought it was a folding horn and a great buy. Second look found the only part useable was the end. Tom B

For my horn repairs my goto guy is John Duffy? I'm not sure that he does flower horns but he's an artist with the B&B horns. It's worth a try. He is Ripduf1 on the forum. You can send him a PM or call him at 860-966-2827. Good luck.
