On your hands - any of these.

On a phonograph cabinet - non-pumice only.

There are many, many discussions of Gojo, Goop, Kotton Kenser, etc., on the board. I'd suggest you search the board to find the many threads and the many opinions on the subject.

Nothing with grit. Personally, I use the original non citrus formula.

GoJo Original. That's my "go to" cleaner/degreaser.

(the product separates over time, but it still works, just a bit soupy rather than creamy)

Creamy Goop, Gojo, Permatex Blue Label all seem - to me at least - to work about the same. Any of these or Kotton Klenser can soften the finish and make it seem a little sticky/tacky. This will pass after a few days, and the finish will harden again.

A word of caution: If used too aggressively, any of these can remove the finish! We've seen instances where someone misinterpreted an age-darkened finish or the stickiness for dirt, and just kept scrubbing with Gojo and steel wool until the finish was damaged beyond salvation. So proceed slowly, and test in an inconspicuous spot until you get the hang of it.
