WANTED: Copy of "Kashmiri Song"
. . . the version by Amy Woodforde Finden, any electrically recorded version suitable for playback on a gramophone (pre-1934'ish). Many thanks!

Widely recorded during the 78 era by, among others, Webster Booth, Peter Dawson, Nelson Eddy, Alfred Piccaver & Richard Tauber. All of these have been posted on YouTube, so you can compare and decide which you prefer. The 1939 Nelson Eddy version should be the easiest to find in the USA.

Re: WANTED: Copy of "Kashmiri Song"
Thanks, Epi. Knew it was widely recorded. Interestingly, the majority of copies I've found on eBay are in the UK or Europe. Stateside, I've only located the later recordings (40s, 50s) which would not be suitable to play on my gramophone. I do have the version by Valentino, and while a relatively "rare" record, the poor fellow wasn't much of a vocalist. I have it for its collectibility, but not much else. It's more of a novelty.
