Busy bee reproduced needle bar

I just purchased a reproduction needle bar for an Aertino (like. Busy bee grand). It came with a tiny spring. Does the spring go behind the needle bar near pivot screws

Yes, the small spring goes behind the needle chuck portion in the casting.
