I need an original horn elbow for a Star 50. I'll pay cash or trade good parts. Thanks, Jerry Blais

Jerry,

Should you be offered a Star elbow, be sure you take it contingent upon it properly fitting. I bought one at Union 3 years ago, only to get home an discover that the entire elbow had swelled to the point that the threads in the elbow would not mate with the threads on the horn. The elbow LOOKED good, but was now simply too large to work. Luckily for me, the fellow from whom I bought it is an honorable man and - although sold with no warranties - he took it back and refunded my money.

Good luck Jerry! I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Thanks for the tip. I assumed that the elbow would be cast iron and swelling would not be an issue. I have a reproduction that will work but it's always nice to have an all original machine.
