It's been there in the attic all this time, never noticed it!
The molding on the top-back folds down on a hinge to slide the [disc, from the looks of the shelves,] machine in from the back, I suppose.
But what machine??? I'd appreciate any information anyone might be willing to lend!

I have the same cabinet. I think mine holds a Victor Victrola IX but will check to be sure when I get home from a wonderful day at the office.

Early VV-IX would slide into place on most cabinets like this. There were some cabinets that would take Columbia models, but I don't know the models names.

Probably a VV-IX but it has to be an early one with the straight bottom molding, rather than the later models with the fancy feet.

I have a record cabinet like that.I bought it from an antique dealer very cheaply,but there's no molding on it.Someone removed it long ago.edisonplayer
