New Sonora Book (and more) Available!

Those of us who admire Sonoras have long wished we had more information on them. Thankfully, R.J.Wakeman (the author of the book, Brunswick Phonographs, Panatropes, and Records) has come to the rescue with a book titled, Sonora Phonographs. Both of these books can be accessed for free by members of the Antique Phonograph Society by logging on to the web site:

Just click on the "Articles" tab, go to "Book Feature" on the drop-down menu, and select Part 1 of the Sonora book. This work is so extensive, it was necessary to break it down into 5 parts!

There's also a new category under the "Articles" tab called "Period Articles." The APS just added an article from the November 1904 issue of The Technical World titled, "Making A Talking Machine." This is basically a tour through the Victor factory in 1904 - - pretty cool. Another period article will be posted later this afternoon or later this week.
