I don't know... for the player, all the cylinders, and the cylinder cabinet- it doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

$400 for the Amberola 50 in clean shape
The matching cabinet is rarely seen on Ebay and would list for more then The Amberola
Then add for the 110 records. Say $4 each, so $400+ $440 and the cabinet. I would say that is a good price.

A decent price for that package IMHO.

I think the price is fair for all that you are getting. Also who knows what gems you might find mixed in with the cylinders.

By itself, $999 would be absurd for a 50, even in mint condition. However, you have a package here.

The 50 is harder to find in oak so figure $400-$500. The cabinet is probably at least $400 by itself. Then you have $300-$400 in records. I wouldn't call it the bargain of the year, but it's a very fair deal.

And who knows, maybe you can get it for a little less!

For anyone looking for their first cylinder machine this is an instant collection and well worth considering.

I think it is a good deal. Like the other posters said, yo get the machine, cabinet and cylinders. The machine and cabinet appear to be all original and unmolested. That's the way to find them.

Thank you all for the information. I didn't know the cabinet was so valuable. I am quite surprised about the value. I am always learning. If anyone wants it or is interested, I can go look and perhaps see what they might do on a better price. I'm quite sure it will not sell in this area.

Do not forget on Craig's list there is usually some bargaining room built into the price. If you want it start out at $ 700. and work up. I do not think you will pay the full amount. If you do not need all the cylinders use them as a bargaining chip. The cylinders are a nice part of the deal though and sell at $ 3.00 and up. Wax sell $10.00 and up. Good beginning machine to get.
