Is there any information on what year it was made??? That may indicate an Opera house that was functioning then. World war two had a lot of buildings ruined. Tom B

I did finally make the deal and it is sitting in the living room of a fellow phonograph nut in Seattle until I can get up there next week. He reported it is more spectacular than the pictures so I am very anxious to see it.

The seller doesn't know anything about the origins of the phonograph. He bought it about 10 years ago from some type of retail shop that was going out of business. It sounds like it was just a decoration in the shop. The phonograph works appear to be late 20s or early 30s HMV stuff so I would assume it was made in the 30s or 40s. But, that is just a guess. I really do doubt it is a copy of an actual opera house.

I can't wait to get it home and mess around with it more. It needs some motor work, but it all there and my friend got it to play for a short time and said it sounds great.
