Thanks for the great responses. I always find myself looking at the Vic III....over and over and the motor is quieter than the the M...you are right. I like both but I think I lean toward the Vic III...can't choose though!

If you want an early novelty go with the M for the reason it's early. If you want to play records and use the machine go with the 3 and don't look back.
