There is a series of reissues of early McCormack acoustic recordings issued in the 40s by the Irish HMV, all with a specially-made commemorative sleeve. I have about a dozen of these. The re-recordings are good, however the pressings are mostly crackly as the ones made at Hayes in the same period.
The Victor album has the advantage of the quieter surface of the RCA Victor pressings, and the repertoire is different from that of the Irish set.

Re: John McCormack Sings Again
Some of the late McCormack HMV stuff was issued by Historic Masters on vinyl pressings. I've been wanting to get my claws on those some day, since I like those late Gerald Moore / Edwin Schneider piano accompanied McCormack sides very much. Be nice to hear them without all that HMV crackle.
