If that is a Model C, it must be early. I have never seen a Model C GEM without double striping and more elaborate corner decorations!

If you look at the front of the machine you can see that about half of it is missing the original finish down to what looks like metal that may have been sprayed black. I also believe the striping and the GEM logo have been redone. The striping around the letters in GEM should be thin double lines not one solid wide line.
Jerry's machine is by far the better buy.
