Wondertone

Post by audiophile102 »

I imagine that there are very few of these machines left in the world. I don't intend to bid on it, but I thought the forum members might want to see something different and rare. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wondertone-Rare ... SwfVpYvfin

An interesting machine for sure, but it seems a bit high priced to me.

Way too much - I bought mine back in 2010 from EBay-UK for $250 US dollars - BUT the shipping was almost another $100 from the UK

I rather like my Wondertone shown in a discussion of small machines. I bought it at Union in 2010 for $160. I think that was a fair price at the time. The address of the seller (maker?) is clearly printed on the inside edge of the horn opening on mine. And the logo decal says US Patented. Not so sure about the claim of "made in Germany" or the $750 price tag by the eBay seller.

Looks to have incorrect crank and the ferrule is missing. The rest looks correct, but it's a bit scratched and rusted overall.
