Cute picture, if a little bit rambling, even for a one reeler.

Elinor Field (who played the wife in the picture) lived until 1998.

Interesting: at least one machine looks like an Edison A/B-150... but those would have been a bit outdated by 1917/18, when I presume the film was made...

Definitely an A/B 150. It's appears to have been played using a Kent type of lateral adapter, too.

Very cute film indeed and I'm glad Curt A posted the link! But I think it's missing the very last bit: she says " I know what!" about the phonographs and then we never see how they managed to dispose of one of the machines . :D
But I love pre-1920 silents, and more seem to surfacing all the time.
