I am working on a Victor A. It needs to have the fiber gear replaced. I have the six rivets removed but can't figure out to remove the gear. Any suggestions? I tried to tap the shaft through the cover plate. It didn't budge at all. I also posted this question in the Tips section.
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Victor A gear replacement
I was able to get a hold of Ron Sitko about this gear. He said the small metal gear is pressed on and has to be removed to get the fiber gear off. I was able to do that but Ron said that he doesn't have this gear or know of another supplier for it. So, I will have to look into having it made.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken, I've been making these gears out of correct material for many years, including new correct copper rivets. Pm me if interested, kind regards, Darren Wallace
