Motor works and is pretty quiet, will probably need some light cleaning though. Leather flap above key lock on the outside is intact. Outside leatherette looks very good with the usual separation at the corners. Various moderate wear on the inside. Some paint loss, that one leather pieces has disconnected on the record compartment. Missing the retainer ring that keeps the knob on the crank. Needs new brake leather, as its gone! (getting the old out of the prong is half the job) Outside carrying handle is missing, which is fairly common.

Reproducer is in really nice condition, no noticeable swelling, and no cracks. Should be a great candidate for a rebuild!

Also comes with the reproducer rest/cup which are almost always missing. I have quite a few of these, and none of mine have this piece. This part and the reproducer really make this machine well worth restoring.

Tonearm is a bit of a project, I have the piece which broke off the bracket, and you could epoxy it back on, but if it were me, I'd just go ahead and replace the bracket (Ron Sitko should have the portable brackets)

P.S. The bright gold paint on these cleans up really nice with GOOP/Gojo. I did it on the gooseneck/crook of the tonearm and it looks really good! If you've never heard a 2-55 that has been restored with all the joints sealed and the reproducer rebuilt, you are missing out!
